Defining Destiny is the first book in a new series by Deanna Chase. The understanding of this story is that everyone has one true soul mate. Lucy & Cadan are singer/songwriters, as well as soul mates, giving the music they perform together an almost magical experience for their audience. Tired of Cadan's ego & infidelity, Lucy leaves her tour obligations to return home to the house she once shared with her father. Lucy doesn't return to the stage until her best friend Jax's birthday, where she meets Seth, an artist who lost his soul mate in a horrible accident. Seth has become well known for only engaging in one night stands. Lucy has been warned about Seth, but does she listen? The story continues to find out if it is possible to find love a second time.

I really enjoyed this book. My first "soul mate" based romance, so that was a great spin.
