Mildly romantic, mostly suspense filled. Troubled & sad city girl helps the California cowboy try to uncover the reason he seems to be having more than just plain ol' bad luck with the racehorses he rehabs. Scott is at risk of losing his stellar reputation and clients, which will impact the Live Oak Resort equestrian center. During her stay at Live Oak,Chicago prosecutor, Traci, starts digging into the individuals that have opportunity and motive. The closer she gets, the more dangerous things become for her & the horses. Becoming close with Scott & his family is proving to her that she is just too damaged to have a relationship... though Scott aims to prove her wrong.
